Product Overview

This product utilizes ion-exchange membrane electrolysis technology and graphite synthesis furnaces to produce hydrochloric acid with a stable concentration of 31%-33%. Both the concentration and output can be adjusted according to user requirements. The core material of the graphite synthesis furnace is impervious graphite, typically encased in a carbon steel shell. The entire system features fully automated PLC control, and customized services are available based on specific customer needs.

System Process Flow

1. Brine Refining Unit‌

Salt dissolves in water in the salt saturator to form saturated brine.

2. Multi-stage Filtration and Purification System‌

The saturated brine goes through two rounds of brine purification and filtration to remove impurities in the water.

3. Core Ion-exchange Membrane Reaction‌

The purified brine enters the ion-exchange membrane electrolyzer for electrolysis reaction. The ion-exchange membrane electrolyzer is divided into an anode chamber and a cathode chamber separated by an ion-exchange membrane. When water enters the electrolyzer, chloride ions are electrolyzed in the anode chamber to produce chlorine gas, while sodium ions pass through the ion-exchange membrane into the cathode chamber, where they undergo an electrolysis reaction with water to generate hydrogen and sodium hydroxide. Meanwhile, the residual sodium ions and chloride ions in the anode chamber also react to form sodium chloride, which can be recycled after dechlorination and denitration.

4. Reaction in Graphite Synthesis Furnace to Generate Hydrochloric Acid‌

The chlorine and hydrogen generated by the reaction in the ion-exchange membrane electrolyzer are treated through voltage stabilization, drying, filtration and purification, then transported to the synthesis furnace through special sealed pipelines. They enter the graphite synthesis furnace to react, fully burn in a controllable negative pressure environment, and undergo a chemical combination reaction to generate hydrogen chloride gas. The high-temperature hydrogen chloride gas generated by combustion is cooled down, then sent to the absorption tower to make reverse contact and fully mix with process pure water. Through the multi-stage circulating absorption process, the hydrogen chloride gas is fully dissolved in water to form a 31%-33% concentration hydrochloric acid solution.

5. Pickling Unit for Electrolyzer Pickling‌

The electrolyzer is pickled with 8% concentration hydrochloric acid to remove calcium and magnesium ion precipitates generated by the reaction in the electrolyzer, prevent scaling, and extend the service life of the electrolyzer.

6. Tail Gas Treatment and Finished Product Storage‌

A small amount of residual tail gas after absorption enters the tail gas treatment system, where the residual hydrogen chloride gas is absorbed through lye circulating spray to achieve zero tail gas emission. The prepared qualified industrial hydrochloric acid automatically flows into an anti-corrosion acid storage tank for sealed storage.
